Analysis of Open-Cell planar conductivity and temperature sensors based on PCB
Bojie Zhang, Zhenchuan Yang · 2018
In this paper, a kind of open-cell annular four-electrode conductivity sensor and a temperature sensor with serpentine-shaped resistance temperature detector (RTD), which are both fabricated on printed circuit board (PCB), are discussed in detail. The cell constant was extracted with numerical simulation. The simulation results show that the annular electrode can suppress proximity effects, and the proper driving frequency for this cell is about 10 kHz to 170 kHz. Experiments are carried out to verify the numerical model.
