The P-wave impedance of the sand and shale in the middle and shallow layers seriously overlapped in the central Junggar Basin, which makes the method of the post-stack reservoir prediction infeasible but the ratio of P-wave-to-S-wave can be used to identify the high quality reservoirs effectively. Therefore, the pre-stack reservoir prediction must be carried out to meet the requirement of high-quality reservoir identification, and the high-quality pre-stack gather[1] is the guarantee of the pre-stack reservoir prediction. Based on the characteristics and problems of the original gather data in SN13 well area, we carried out the gather quality control with the processing and interpretation integration and well-seismic integration. The emphasis is focused on whether the target stratum reflection is an effective wave, how to make the reflection event flatten reasonably, and how to keep the AVO variation characteristics consistent with the wells. The sonic logs, density log curves and VSP velocity curve are sufficiently used in the process, and the quality of gathers is better improved after correction, and the accuracy of the VP/VS inversion become higher fitting based on the corrected data, provides a good data base for reservoir prediction in this area.
