We introduced the classification problem in Section 1.17 , and then covered the logistic model for classification in some detail in Section 4.3 . But in the classification problems we’ve discussed so far, we have assumed just two classes. The patient either has the disease in question, or not; the customer chooses to buy a certain item, or not; and so on.
