Current and Potential Transformers
Y. G. Paithankar · 2017
Current transformers and potential (voltage) transformers are an integral part of any power system, essentially for measurement and protection. The thermal ratings (i.e., continuous rating without overheating and damaging the insulation) of the current and pressure coils of most measuring devices and protective relays are 110 V line to line for pressure or voltage coils and 0.5 or 1.0 or 5.0 A for current coils or circuits.
