P K Binu, E Induja, Monica Earnest · 2018

In this age of Big Data, the data is broadly distributed all through the web which can be utilized for criminal and non criminal exercises. A third party with a proper tool can sniff into the communication process between the legitimate users. With remarkable development in computer technology nowadays, 1-way authentication (e.g. passwords) is no more analyzed as secure in the Internet. It has never been less troublesome in protecting the system and remote access. 2-way authentication guarantees a higher security level than 1-way authentication. This paper proposes a highly secured 2-way authentication between client and server using Zero Knowledge Protocol (ZKP) in web applications. Additionally, our system ensures the data confidentiality and integrity during communication process which is very relevant in the present day scenario.
