User Identification from Incomplete Motion Data Using Hidden Markov Models

The marginalization approach for classification of incomplete sequences using hidden Markov models (HMM) is presented. It is applied to the problem of user identification from incomplete motion data. It is shown that marginalization approach outperforms other known methods for missing data handling when HMMs are used for classification.
