Performance Analysis and Challenges of the Map Reduce Framework in Big Data Analytics

In this day and age, with increasing requirements to analyze enormous datasets and execute the necessary processing on complex data structures, Big Data Analytics is the proposed solution. The problem currently faced is that large amounts of data produced from heterogeneous sources require analysis and proper storage with the greatest efficiency and low cost. This is where the Map Reduce framework comes handy - it speeds up the processing by providing a consolidated approach to machine learning. In this paper, we shall study the MapReduce algorithm, its requirement, its advantages, its disadvantages along with challenges and their respective solutions.
