DISCRETE WAVELET TRANSFORM USING VEDIC MULTIPLIER FOR IMAGE COMPRESSION

Multipliers are playing an important role in design of Image signal processing, Digital signal processing and FIR filter. The application of real time digital signal processing is fast growing due to it utility in all area like medical, satellite etc.. A number of multipliers has developed for increase the multiplier speed and Vedic multiplier is one of the fast and loe power multiplier over other multiplier like traditional, booth etc.. The main objective of compressed image is to decrease the image data to be able to transmit and store. Image compression has needed for high compression performance and protection of critical image. Wavelet-based image compression scheme is one of the most powerful compression technique using Vedic multiplier is presented in this paper.
