Classification systems and the decompositions of a lattice into direct products

We introduce the notion of a classification system for an arbitrary complete lattice.We give a characterization of those pseudocomplemented lattices which have the property that any of their classification systems yields a decomposition of the lattice into a direct product.By applying these results we prove new stucture theorems for particular classes of complete pseudocomplemented lattices.
