Internet of things is a buzzword of this era, which tries to correlate digital gadgets that we have currently. Internet became the backbone of numerous things, these things are interconnected uniquely in existing internet infrastructure that is called as Internet of Things (loT). Due to wider implementation of loT, devices are prone to Cyber-attacks. Due to increasing attacks on devices, security becomes a pivotal issue. To beat those attacks, concept of honeypot is implemented in loT. Honeypot is the security resource frame up to act like decoy to allure attackers. But this mechanism focuses only on single system, whereas Honeynet is the network of high interaction Honeypots. This survey provides the implementation of honeypot and honeynet in different scenarios for counteracting these attacks. This research focuses on how we can prevent the cyber-attacks in IoT Devices and still be able to analyze it using deception.
