Second-Order Cyclostationarity for Blind Symbol Rate Estimation of APSK Signals

Blind signal identification is the backbone of cognitive radio. Cognitive technologies are now being introduced in the satellite communication. Symbol rate estimation is a critical step in the blind signal identification. In this work, we use the second-order cyclostationarity for estimating the symbol rate of the APSK signals used in satellite communication standard DVB-S2. The performance of the estimator is investigated under different scenarios described in the standard.
