Multivariate Data Analysis Techniques to Detect Early Warnings of Elderly Frailty

In this paper we outline the results of a project intended to detect the most important leading indicators of elderly frailty in a health district of the province of Parma (Italy). Through the joint application of several multivariate data analysis techniques we found a series of factors which are predictive of loss of functional and cognitive ability and we set up a model which provides early warnings of cases of potential elderly frailty.
