The paradigm of Software Defined Networking (SDN) is the latest trend that has been observed by the IT industry. The workload on the network operators to accommodate the ever-increasing need as well as the demands of people using the network by changing the conventional network architecture is immense. The undue heavy traffic, an increasing demand for scalability and enormous shortage in the bandwidth provided are the main reasons behind the evolution of the network architecture. When we incorporate the SDN in a Data Center Network(DCN) paradigm, that provides a centralized control which help in reducing the issues and the consequences incurred through routing. This paper develop a UI to detail the functionalities and the paradigm of the DCN. It also analyse the performance when an SDN, as a smart centralised controller, has been added. We consider networks used for the connection of 8 different hosts to a parallel of 512 hosts. We evaluate the network performance based on a percentage of packet drop rate, bandwidth requirements, the latency of the network. Mininet, Open Flow (OF) controller, VSwitch, and a VirtualBox are being used for the performance analysis. The bind is facilitated by Python Language. Various topologies are implemented for detailed analysis with the use of SDN paradigm.
