Suppose that $E$ is a Banach space, $\tau $ a topology under which the norm of $E$ becomes $\tau $-lower semicontinuous and $\mathcal {S}$ a commuting family of $\tau $-continuous nonexpansive mappings defined on a $\tau $-compact convex subset $C$ of $E.
