Information Centric Network (ICN) is a Next-Generation Internet architecture which is designed to overcome the traditional network restrictions. Anyhow, congestion due to flooding attacks or any other malicious activity is the main source of degradation of QoS in network. Congestion occurs, when the number of data packets queued is large and exceeds the link capacity, it causes buffer overflow in ICN. To overcome this problem, in ICN prediction of the congestion free secure path is necessary. In this paper, we have proposed Fuzzy based Congestion-aware Secure Route Selection (FuCaS) technique that has OSPF running in its core. We have coined two metrics satisfaction ratio and packet loss rate to select congestion free secure path. The experimental results of the proposed system proves the effectiveness in terms of reduction in packet loss rate around 50% and improvement in throughput, thereby improving QoS even during congestion due to flooding attack.
