The purpose of this work is to present a real-time implementation of a Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) testbed using a front-end equipment. We implemented and evaluated a modified energy detection algorithm for the CSS scenario using three front-end devices from Ettus Research, known as Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) software defined radio (SDR), and the GNU Radio open software. The Cognitive Radio (CR) system operates at 695 MHz in the Brazilian digital TV frequency band using TV White Spaces (TVWS). The performances of different fusion rules are also evaluated and the results discussed in detail.
