Managers within the cybersecurity industry tend to be successful technologists, each promoted up from his/her area of expertise and into management roles for which he/she possesses neither formal training nor relevant experience. The industry's steadily growing workforce requires properly prepared managers. Cybersecurity management education - providing a combination of cybersecurity technology fundamentals and core managerial skill sets, and made available through various delivery methods - is of vital importance to this mission-critical industry.
