ClueMeIn

Christopher G. Harris · 2018

The ESP Game (Google Image Labeler) demonstrated how the crowd could be used to perform a task that is easy for humans but challenging for computers - annotating images. The game facilitated the task of basic image labeling but often the labels provided were at a high level and not sufficient to distinguish similar images from one another. We introduce ClueMeIn, an entertaining web-based game that uses a similar format to obtain more detailed image labels than the ESP game. The results will improve the accuracy of image searches and better accessibility for the visually impaired.
