Health care AI: predicting breast cancer with machine learning

Marcos Pinto, Ouri Alkada, Hsinrong Wei · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2018

This paper describes a step-by-step process of creating a computer application that predicts breast cancer using Artificial Intelligence (AI) method of machine learning (ML). Machine learning will be used to predict whether a breast cancer is benign or malignant. The program will make use of an algorithm that changes dynamically in order to fine-tune itself for a better prediction. It `learns' with training data, in order to make prediction with an ever higher accuracy. It is a hands-on example that can be incorporated into college courses on Web and/or mobile applications.
