An NFC-based Context Approach to Life Cycle Management of Construction Projects
Xiaoyu Zheng, Jie Shen · Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Computer Science and Application Engineering · 2018
The1 life cycle management of construction project acts as an important role in construction process, project maintenance, evaluation and safety warning. NFC (Near Field Communication) is a newly thrived technology in recent years. This technology has been installed on many kinds of mobile phone systems. Based on it, a new NFC-based context framework is presented for the life cycle management, and efficient support for interacting, mapping, and accessing the contexts of onsite construction process is provided. Moreover, a new model of construction project management (CPM) is derived for this system, and a description model for the context data management of life cycle of construction project is analysed and designed. A case study for diversion tunnel management is carried out to verify the brand-new framework for the life cycle management. The results show that it could provide efficient support for the context-aware CPM, and the work encourages a wider use of NFC-based context technology for improving current CPM process and exploring the innovative methods of these technology in CPM.
