The increase in research from the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) causes that several conferences in this area begin to gain volume and prestige. HCI researches are carried in worldwide with an increasing frequency. Thus, it is on the basis of these researches that this work seeks to analyze the research situation in Brazil with relation to the international community. For this, the Brazilian conference (IHC) of the HCI area is analyzed in front of one of the most prestigious in the world, the CHI. Results based on the analysis of more than 126,000 words from the titles of the publications of these two conferences are discussed, the data visualization is made through tag clouds and graphs, and comparisons based on the main subjects treated by the conferences are made to verify where they are converging, as well as where they reveal their specificities.
