Comment on “Detecting Topology Variations in Networks of Linear Dynamical Systems”

In the above paper [1], the detectability of topology variations in dynamical networks is studied. This note points out that [1, Proposition 2 and Th. 4], which provide network-theoretic conditions for discerning topology variations, require a stronger assumption than controllability of the subsystem dynamics.
