User Modeling and Machine Learning: A Survey

This paper presents a survey of UM tasks and of related machine learning and data mining problems. It first proposes a panorama of UM applications merged in a few categories according to the similarity of the tasks from the machine learning point of view. Then it details a little more details usage mining for hypermedia and web-based applications.
