Hybrid Cloud: A Solution to Cloud Interoperability

Shweta M. Barhate, Mahendra P. Dhore · 2018

Cloud computing is stepping forward as a successful technology in the internet era involving various technologies such as virtualization, distributed computing, networking etc. It includes distinct elements such as clients, data centres, and distributed servers. Here the important aspect comes out to be interoperability among different clouds which still remains understudied issue with respect to cloud computing. This paper analyzes the Hybrid Cloud approach as a technological solution for the above said interoperability problem. CloudSim simulator has been used to analyze the implementation of Hybrid Cloud Architecture with respect to interoperability in cloud environment. Hybrid Cloud involves pooling of resources from combinations of public as well as private clouds and thereby giving a smooth access and better resource utilization to the users. This paper focuses on the potential of data centre broker and its policies being the new performer in the cloud computing environment with respect to interoperability.
