40 Gb/s Secure Optical Communication System Based on Optical Code Technology

Various approaches for secure optical communication have been proposed over the past years, such as quantum key distribution, chaotic communication and optical code (OC) based secure communication. In this paper, we review the advances of spectral phase encoding (SPE) optical code technology based for 40 Gb/s OOK and DPSK secure optical communication systems.
