Aiming at the authenticity and integrity of video, this paper analyzes the characteristics and implementation mechanism of the watermarking algorithm for video content. Then we propose a semi-fragile video watermarking algorithm based on energy relation. In this algorithm, the discrete cosine transform and energy calculation method are used. First it's to divide the video region into several non-overlapping blocks. Next according to the energy relation between these blocks, the binary sequence representing video's feature to be embedded can be obtained. Then, based on this sequence, the relationship between the DC coefficient components on each 8x8 block inverse diagonal of the carrier video intermediate region is adjusted in order to embed the feature we get before. When the video is attacked by cutting, tampering, and so forth, by extracting the watermark and comparing with the original feature sequence, users can effectively detect the type and location of the attack. The watermarking scheme proposed in this paper solves the attack detection of stream media files like video. Based on this algorithm, we have a batch testing on different videos. Experimental data shows that the semi-fragile video watermarking algorithm has both robustness and vulnerability. It can be applied to the actual detection to achieve the purpose of monitoring video content.
