Assembling a Smart Phone Controlled Surveillance Unmanned Quadcopter

Ahmed Adnan Shandookh · 2018

In this research a quadcopter, which is also known as including four rotors, had been assembled to equipped with video camera derived by a step motor and controlled by Arduino card programmed by LabVIEW to control both the video camera and the quadcopter movements through mobile application programmed for that. The available quad copter with video camera is extremally expensive especially if it was controlled by mobile, the idea is to imitate it by low cost equipment's leads to a mobile controlled quadcopter with controlled video camera less expensive by about ten time the commercial one available. Many challenges were solved including fixing the stability and controllability of both video camera and quadcopter and the excessive lode due to the video camera, Arduino card and the step motor weight, also fixed the shifting in aerodynamic and gravity center arrived by that load. A mathematical model was built by solid work and had been tested by Ansys to ensure that. The equipped quadcopter was worked properly and both images and films taken by it was acceptable with respect to those taken by commercial one.
