Galaxy Classification Using Neural Networks: A Review

With the advent of advanced telescopes and high resolution imaging techniques, astronomical data is flowing in faster than ever. Hence classifying galaxy images via human supervision and even crowd-sourcing is not viable anymore. This paper briefly summarizes the latest efforts in Computer Vision, particularly neural networks and its variants which automatically classify galaxy images.
