Delay in Chaum's Anonymizing Mix Networks
Dauren Zhumazhanov, Deepa Kundur · 2018
Various anonymizing services and networks rapidly have grown both in numbers and variance. This paper focuses on an evaluation of delay strategies in Chaum's anonymizing mixes. The metrics of anonymity were obtained from packet delay entropies, and additional simulations established a clear dependency between these metrics and the ability of packet mixing to mitigate attacks on confidentiality based on pattern recognition of packet arrival instances.
