Model-Based Semi-Physical Simulation Platform Architecting for Satellite Communication System

Comprehensive simulation should be carried out before satellite communication system is physically deployed. Its complexity and rapid technical development require careful design to make it robust for integration and scalable to future changes. In this paper, we design an architecting procedure for satellite communication simulation platform with top-level decision optimization following object-oriented system engineering methodology (OOSEM) with SysML language. Decision tradeoff analysis is presented at various levels. Architecture selection conclusion is drawn for satellite communication system architects assisting their decision-making.
