Algorithm for Real-Time Comparison of Audio Streams for Broadcast Supervision

The paper deals with an efficient method of comparison of audio streams that can be compressed using lossy compression algorithms and, as well, delayed by an unspecified number of samples due to transmission and processing. The algorithm bases on the signal envelope correlation between audio streams. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated using different acceleration methods available in modern desktop computers.
