The article considers theoretical and methodological principles of designing documents in the field of standardization, which provide the ordering of the documents and their ranking by the quality criteria (usefulness).The openness of the procedures for designing documents on standardization is justified; institutional requirements that ensure the development of project technical committees for standardization are developed.
