An image encryption scheme based on AES Key producing (AESKP) schedule and chaotic map for gray image is proposed in this paper. Initial value of chaotic map in the scheme is produced by AESKP. The AESKP can produce continuous 128-bits key, which is divided into four chaotic map initial value. The first initial value produce permutation chaotic sequence, the left three initial values produce three image encryption chaotic sequences. Meanwhile, chaotic sequences for image encryption should be ensured within one period. If the sequences are not enough to encryption image, the next 128-bits value from AESKP should be used to generate new chaotic map initial values. There are three virtues in this scheme, Firstly, 128-bits initial value makes the key space big enough. Secondly, encryption key sequences are in one period which not only ensure the randomness of the sequence but also make this algorithm a one-time-pad scheme. Thirdly, this scheme can encrypt images in batches. The experimental results and security analysis show the efficiency of the proposed scheme.
