Services orchestration within 5G networks — Challenges and solutions

The 5G network involves a number of new technological solutions that will significantly change the network management approach. Introduction of network visualization requires a new set of management and security functions that are related to the creation and lifecycle management of the virtualized resources. In this context, service orchestration becomes a crucial functionality that determines successful development of 5G networks. In this paper, we discuss current trends in service orchestration and point out main challenges faced by network operators who intend to implement the orchestration functionality in their networks.
