In this chapter, we will begin to customize the IBuySpy Portal. There are three ways of doing this, listed in order of increasing complexity as follows: Stylesheet manipulation — the simplest way to manipulate the portal is to specify your own styles and color schemes for portal elements via the CSS stylesheet associated with it. Direct code manipulation — additional customization can be achieved with modifications to the existing code that makes up the application. This needn’t be complex, minor modifications can result in dramatic changes. Additional modules and custom code — the greatest changes can be achieved by adding your own modules to the project, following the framework discussed in the last chapter. It is also possible to modify the framework and add your own custom logic, meaning that pretty much anything is possible. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
