ON THE GEOMETRY OF MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC FLOW

We have derived two different systems of partial differential equations, each equivalent to the Lundquist equations. In the new systems the dependent functions are functions describing the streamline and field line congruences. These formulations are then used to show precisely to what extent the geometry of the streamlines and field lines determines the flow.
