The Number 2 Challenge

Kids love computers. Kids love a challenge. Kid love to work together. The teacher's challenge is to channel all those positive feelings in mathematically significant directions. In the “number 2 arithmetic challenge” students work together to find as many different equations as possible using only the number 2. They are convinced that excepting 1, the easiest number with which to compute is 2, so they begin the challenge with confidence.
