Performance evaluation of packet erasure network

In Packet Erasure network large amount of data is getting lost during transmission. This may pose question on the quality of received data which is severely degraded. Its a major concern in communication systems, especially in Automatic Speech Recognition systems(ASR), Where loosing of speech data over such network will affect the accuracy of ASR. In this paper author has proposed to choose optimized total number of packet combinations per generation for the transmission via Packet Erasure Network (PEN)[21]. The Problem of evaluation of the speech recognition quality over PEN has been addressed in this paper. The author has proposed to perform the automated task, and its implementation automatically over PEN[1]. Network Coding simulations are being performed on a butterfly network. Parameters such as packet, generation size and number of transmitted packets can be changed. Received packet pattern and packet loss rate at each sink node are given as the output.
