This paper mainly presents about the implementation of fused floating point four term dot product unit using modified booth algorithm. Dot product is one of the most basic algorithm used in signal processing of natural data such as image, audio, video and sound. Dot product is one of the most commonly used mathematical operations in 3D graphics, digital signal processing and statistical applications. Floating point is the one of the best way to represent real numbers in binary format. In previous researches process the fused floating point four term dot product unit dadda multiplier are used as multiplier tree and kogg stone adder are used addition with an increase in area and power consumption. A few changes can be brought to this work which can reduce the area and power. The proposed method uses modified booth algorithm and brent kung adder. On implementing the present method there will be an effective reduction in area and power.
