An efficient authentication technique for security management against cloning mobile phones

The use of Mobile devices is at peak in today's routine. Mobile phone cloning is a common threat associated with mobile devices these days due to the endless popularity of the applications that are made possible by mobile devices, its appealing sight and ease of access are responsible for the misuse of it. As a result of cloning, the public and private sectors are targeted. Despite of most powerful security algorithms still there exists chance of such fraud being possible with mobile devices. The service is corrupted and maliciously a clone can be created so that is can be used as a replacement to the original device thus making unexpected access and use of the device for fraudulent data transfer may it misusing the identity of the person making fake calls or making excess use of the service that generates high mobile bills. This paper discusses the history of cloning, its affect, avoiding it and proposes a novel strategy to eliminate the crimes that are based on Mobile Cloning.
