Providing real time Quality of Service over Wireless Local Area Networks is becoming a very challenging task in heavy loaded traffic scenario. Currently high throughput wireless standard (IEEE 802.11n) with a high data transmission rate with 600 Mbps is used. In the static cross-layer mapping, delay occurs in heavy loaded traffic due to prioritization process and sorting of video packets. If the respective Access Category Queue gets heavily loaded with the incoming packets it drops the same even if any of the other queues is empty. In this paper, we proposed and implement novel adaptive cross-layer mapping scheme to heighten the QoS transmission of scalable video stream in IEEE 802.11n wireless environment which approximates the queue length of AC and delay time constraints of the streams to be transmitted. Our simulation result shows that performance of our proposed dynamic cross-layer mapping is performing better with respect to the static cross-layer mapping scheme.
