Implementation of reversible logic at gate level

Reversible logic is gaining interest in the recent past due to its less heat dissipating characteristics. The reversible logic gates are different from the conventional logic gates. In conventional logic gates more heat is dissipated due to the internal switching of the signals. Whereas in reversible logic gates, there is no internal switching of signals and hence the heat dissipation can be minimized. In this paper we present some of the sequential and combinational circuits using reversible logic gates which are implemented using Xilinx ISE. We observe the parameters like delay, power supply, temperature etc of the reversible circuits when compared to the conventional circuits.
