High-risk security concerns are receiving increasing attention in public-transportation systems. Accordingly, this study proposed a secret-sharing-based face recognition model in which the distributed authentication of an identity is determined by collecting and comparing user RFID tags and their facial features in public-transportation systems. Specifically, the wavelet transforms incorporating a secret sharing scheme are used to distribute a secret in two parts. The similarity of face recognition can be calculated by the nearest-neighbor (NN) approach. Experimental results showed that our system provides a more secure technique by evading disclosure of personal information.
