Survey on Information Retrieval and Stored Procedure

In databases, information retrieval is the process of identifying and extracting data from a database, based on a query provided by the user or application.It enables the fetching of data from a database in order to display it on a monitor and/or used within an application.The data in a database can be in any formats.The search of data and the accurate retrieval is also a tedious task.The query used for the data retrieval needs reusability and security.In this paper, we survey the various techniques used to extract the data from the database and the inclusion of stored procedure concepts.We summarize the general features and summarize them as a study in this area.
