Currently, researchers pay less attention for analyzing the massive college students' data, but it's very important to utilize the information. In the paper, we take Sichuan Normal University as an example, and analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of college students' source and regional economic relevance based on the basic idea of big data, in accordance with two modes of the data mining data characterization and correlation analysis. The results show that the ratio of boys to girls is much lower than before, and it is on a downward trend. Students were mainly from developed areas. In developed areas, there is a significant negative correlation between the number of students and the level of local social and economic development; in the middle-level developed areas, the correlation is not strong; in the less-developed areas, there is a significant positive correlation.
