Impact of Bluetooth low energy on energy consumption in Android OS

The aim of this paper is to investigate impact of Bluetooth Low Energy on Android-based mobile devices. In order to achieve this, a simple application was developed, allowing for operation with beacons - a special class of BLE devices. After brief report and analysis of obtained results, additional case-specific methods of beacon interoperation optimisation are given.
