Route Measurement Technique based on Entropy in Cluster Routing for Mobile Ad hoc Networks

Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is very challenging as mobile nodes can move arbitrarily in any direction. In this paper we have introduced the concept of Entropy to find stabilize route among many possible routes in Cluster Based Routing Protocol in MANETs. Basically entropy presents ambiguity and proportion of the disorder in a system. Entropy value is small if the change of variables in a given system is large. If two or more routes are possible, cluster head will calculate the average entropy value for each route during some time interval and selects the large entropy valued route as stable route and deny other routes.
