Innovation Decision‐Making Process With Crowdsourcıng and Open Innovation Approaches

The popularity of the concept of innovation isincreasing day by day. The concept is discussed almost everywhere, theimportance of being innovative is being mentioned and much has been discussedabout it. "It's not possible without innovation ", innovation is thekey to competition" and more explanations are mentioned for showingbusinesses innovation a key factor to survive and emphasizing the importance ofthe concept. Performing innovation is not as difficult as it mightseem. Also, there is not always a need for intensive research and developmentfor innovation investments. Innovations can occur even with small incrementalimprovements. Nevertheless, innovation is often misunderstood and ends withfailures. What is important here is that it is necessary to establish asustainable institutional innovation culture and innovation management systemto innovate. In this study, it has been mentioned that in order to manageinnovation practices and make correct innovation decisions, crowdsourcing andopen innovation approaches should be used in the era of information andcommunication technologies. In this context, systematic innovation decisionprocess has been put forward by determining how these approaches should beused.
