A glance of the CASLab HSAIL SIMT GPU for OpenCL and TensorFlow applications
Chung‐Ho Chen · 2018
This presentation introduces an on-going OpenCL HSAIL GPU project. The GPU ISA is based on the open Heterogeneous System Architecture Intermediate Language, HSAIL. We introduce the GPU microarchitecture and the methodology used to develop the system. This HSAILGPU intends to support both the OpenCL and the TensorFlow framework. TensorFlow, released by Google, is an open source software library for numerical computation using data flow graphs. TensorFlow provides a rich set of APIs that facilitate deep neural network (DNN) learning algorithm developers to explore their DNN models. This TensorFlow HSAILGPU targets at the deployment of edge AI computing devices for applications such as distributed DNN learning, embedded AI, or inference in addition to OpenCL computations.
