A Cooperative Replica Placement Strategy for MP2P-CDN

Recent years, the content delivery service has been grown up widely. There are large amounts of providers for media content via CDN, MP2P network or MP2P-CDN system. In this paper, we present a new cooperation solution for MP2P-CDN to place the resource replicas: cooperative replica placement strategy. Different from others, our solution brings on effective management of placing replicas at CDN edge severs and mobile peers. By dividing replicas placement problem into 2 parts, we can profit all the advantages of CDN edge servers and MP2P network: the performance of CDN edge servers and the cheap cost of using mobile peers to distribute resources.
